Basic Info BioBorn in the grim north of England. Grew up in Christchurch, New Zealand and Perth, Western Australia.
I have an inexplicable interest in graphic design, photography, and architecture. Inexplicable in the sense that I have no talent myself, but find these subjects fascinating.
I've always enjoyed languages. That could be why I've spent years on and off in Japan for a range of unlikely reasons: full-time golf caddy, working at a hospital, winning a Japanese government scholarship to study at university, ex-pat in Tokyo working on a project at a power company. I've also been a professional translator and interpreter.
I have a degree in Asian Studies and an interest in Asia as a whole.
